    Poppet Valves 93 Merc Black Max 150's

    I have 2 questions 1) Can you run these motors w/out the poppet valves? 2) Should the water coming from the telltale be hot. Thanks in advance for your input.

    93 Black Max Overheat alarm

    I have a pair of 93 V150 Merc Black Max's. I recently replace the swivel brackets.
