:confused:Okay guys... I'm no mechanic, but I have figured out my bottom 2 cylinders are not firing properly! Here's my symptoms:
My engine is a 1982 Mercury 50 HP (Thunderbolt Ing) 4 cylinder, 2 stroke. No power tilt/trim.
Eng will start and rev up to what seems to be normal RPMs (no tach)...
I just bought a 50 HP Mercury Outboard S/N 6012663. Where do I go to find the year model and specifics on this motor? Cowling has blue strip/lettering and badged as "Thunderbolt Ignition". I suspect 81-82, that's the closest I have determined the year of the boat it was on...
