    snap rings in lower unit

    I have long snap ring pliers but the tips are not strong enough. Can i get stronger tips or do i need different pliers, and if so could someone tell me which pliers i would need. thank you.

    seal ring inside water pump

    I took off my water pump and saw it had no seal ring inside it for the drive shaft. My manual shows one.could i perch us one from west marine or is it not supposed to be there. Is water supposed to go up where the drive shaft is. My motor is an 88 evinrude 200 hp.

    seals in impeller housing went bad

    found water in my lu and found that it came from the impeller housing and pushed gear oil out the top of the unit and filled up with water. i noticed the drive shaft moves up and down, i don't think this is wright,and the gears grind when trying to put in gear.I assume complete rebuild, but if...

    outboard has a miss or it sputters

    1988 evinrude 200 hp poor compression

    motor runs, hard to start after sitting and the compression is 64 in all cylinders could this be carbon build up or problem with the rings,or head gasket. bought boat and it sat for long time.
