When I start my boat, it takes off with the throttle in neutral. When I move the throttle, it clunks and goes faster. When I go WOT, it goes but then loses power and back and forth.
There are air bubbles under the water like there might be a leak in the lower unit.

I got my 55 HP out in the water yesterday after a month of carb/throttle link problems.
When I go WOT, it doesn't speed up. Then it does. Then it fluctuates.
When it is idling smoke-filled bubbles surface from somewhere under water.
What up with it?
