I have a 1977 Glastron SSV177 that I have been restoring ,I changed oil and filter about two months ago when I started the project and haven`t had it in the water yet only started it three or four times to listen run and tune it a little, today I checked the engine oil and it smells like it has...
Can any one tell me if theres another adhesive that can be used ondrive shaft and exhaust bellows other than regular bellows adhesive? I don`t mind the price of buying the stuff just hate to drive 150 mile round trip to get it.

Can any one give me some useful tips on changing the bellows on a 1977 mercruiser?I`m changing all three and the shift cable and I don`t have the bellows spreaders that the bookssay you need. Thanks for any replies
Can any one tell me how to remove the shift cable end on a 140 Mercruiser shft cable,the end next to the transom plate, the book says it has two set screws but the one I have has two little square pin looking things in it. Thanks for any replies.
I have a 1977 Glastron SSV 177 with a 140 Mercruiser ,does any one know if it has a fuel check valve in the line, seems to lose the prime on the fuel pump after sitting ,if it has ever had one I can`t find it and I have had the line off from the fuel pump to the tank. Thanks for any replies.
Does any one know how deep the bottom seal in a mercruiser I drive shaft houseing suppose to be installed?It appears that the o ring on the shaft on the bottom half of the unit is pushing the rubber out of the seal, it had been installed flush with the bottom of the seal carrier.
