this looks like to one I got except that the lever goes the opposite way.the rest looks identical.Actually if I flip mine upside down it is identical.Probably all made at same factory in China
I will look again. I bought what was called a pretty generic 40 amp at an RV and marine center. It has an arm and a small reset button next to the arm. Terminals look to be brass( gold) with rubber caps for the ends of the terminals.
Green zinc chromate primer on aluminum.I have also used yellow zinc phosphate primer on aluminum with good results. Never heard of using epoxy primer. Charlie
ok, got my new breaker.Went with a different style since the current style was open back and not sealed to corrosion. and I boat in salt .I plan to coat each terminal thoroughly with either marine grease or dielectric. There are 4 other small screw heads or rivets.I was planning on brushing on...
I planned on getting a dupe of what I'm taking off. I assume it's marine?? Look at the pic. although the back was open which I assume marine would be closed .Charlie
Upon closing up I think I confirmed the breaker needs to be replaced. When I hold the reset red button in everything works as long as the button is held in and when I let the button go ...nuttin.
Hoping I don't sound like a complete tool here but should I be able to temporarily connect the 2 leads together after I remove the breaker and until I get a new breaker if needed?? Just to keep my bilge pump connected for a day or 2 ??
