    Steering Cable, cannot remove

    I cannot get steering cable off of motor(1981,90hp evinrude). I unscrewed it from the motor but it will not pull out. Shouldn't it pull out or am i doing something wrong? If it's stuck is it ok to tap it hard to break it free? Thanks for the help.

    79 Mercury just idles

    I have a 79 150 merc that only idles. When you give it the gas it does nothing but idels. Would this be throttle cable? Thanks for you help.

    Can someone please tell me what size pistons that are in this motor? I have looked at the diagram and they have 3 or 4 different kinds. I'm thinking they are .020 O.S. which are unavailable if so where would you go from there? Could you use used ones or is that not a good idea? I have heard that...

    1978 85hp air box fit a 1981 90hp?

    I am missing carb. cover on my 81 90hp evinrude found a 78 85hp evinrude cover part# 323487. I cannot find my part # for the 90hp. Will this one work on mine? Thank's for the help.

    Worth rebuilding?

    Hello everyone I'm new here on this forum and i have a question. I have a 1981 90hp evinrude and wondering if it's worth rebuilding? If so would parts be that hard to find like pistons? Thanks
