I have a 1979 Chrysler 30hp model 302H9C and need an impeller. All parts manuals and diagrams say it takes Sierra 18-3901/Mercury 47-F462065 and that is not the correct one because the driveshaft hole is 5/8 on those. My driveshaft is 9/16. The old impeller is 6 vanes with a plastic insert...
I was kinda thinking that because my 20hp Chrysler doesn’t have one or even have a place for one so it couldn’t be incredibly important on a 25 I would suppose. I just don’t want to damage anything. Someone has had the thermostat cover off before because it had non stainless steel grade 2 screws...
I have a 1975 25hp 257HA. While figuring out why it’s not pumping water I decided to check the thermostat, turns out someone removed it who knows how long ago. It was made with a thermostat and i intend to replace it. I know the thermostat for this engine was discontinued long ago and I can’t...
I have a 1975 chrysler 25hp 257HA with the battery ignition and the stator alternator. The external coils are on top of the head. I’m doing a cosmetic restoration on this nice engine and want to get new coils because the old ones are from who knows what and the wiring someone done is terrible...
Parts are obsolete I think the condenser is actually the only ignition part you can still purchase. Did you clean the points? That almost always works to get fire to the plugs.
you can drill a hole in the other end and put a cotter pin through it so it doesn’t fall out. Need a center punch and a drill press i’ve done it to several pins before.
I was given a Chrysler direct drive lower unit today. I would like to put it in use but it will need new seals and a prop. Does anyone know anything about these? Also what horsepower will this fit? I think it is extremely rare?
I a wizard super twin model#w64. Horsepower is unknown. It's in decent condition and I would like to get it running. I cannot get the gas tank off. Theres two studs underneath I think those are the only thing that hold it on but it wont budge. I also have no idea where the impeller is located...
I have a chrysler 20hp and a 9.9hp. The lower unit driveshaft seal is leaky on both of them. They both have the same seal. I would like to replace the seal without buying the whole seal kit. I need the sierra part number for the seal if they offer it individually. The outside diameter is 1 inch...
