There is a hole on my OMC stern drive inboard 140hp. I changed the ball gears and in the picture there is a flat head screw (see arrow) near the rubber gasket closest to the transom. I dont know what type of lube it needs.
I needed a 15 ft ball type thru the transom steering cable for 1974 omc stern drive I found a 20 ft the guy say u could loop it but would that bind the cable?it's was 300 bucks or found a direct fit but it was 900 bucks. Or what about any type of retro fit kit? Or does any one have one for sale...
There is a black plug in the stern drive what does it do? Also does any one know where to find a replacement 15ft ball type thru the transom steering cable. I cant find one. Or I heard there is some kinda of retro fit steering cable. I really would like to find the ball type though...
