Thanks DRS.
No, WOG. Here's a pic of one of them. It's a break in the outer shell but the fg beneath is not damaged. This is on one of the chines (is that the correct term?) forward just below the bow. The hull is all closed above this area.
Here's an update pic. The finish is about 90% restored. I still have some final sanding on the bottom. I went with 180, 220, 600, 1200 grit wet sanding the entire hull except the aft half of the bottom which is still in like-new condition. Followed up the sanding with McGuire's 57 Compound...
I have the pic issue resolved finally. Here's an example of the holes I need to fill. The upper holes are from the original windshield where, it appears, it was knocked or torn loose, hence the ugly gouges. Is bondo or epoxy suitable for repairing this damage? This is the condition of the...

Hi all. I've been off the forums for a long time but now have the opportunity to join in a bit and need a little advice. I finally decided to resurrect my boat that's been neglected for several years. How does one go about putting a boat project in the forum? I have no idea how to post pics...
This is from outboardrepairs.com:<br /><br />"boatdaddy<br />Sometimes when I try to tilt up my motor (Mercury 40hp about 1980), it won't tilt because the "ratchet" that the tilt lock pin goes through has moved into a locked position. I have 2 questions:<br /><br />1. What causes the ratchet to...
I was reading some comments recently from teenagers in Europe who were under the impression the US played a minor role in WWII in Europe. When questioned specifically, they stated this was what their history books were telling them. Any Europeans under 50 out there who can comment on this? I...
