All Dodge, I think you meant shifting into full fwd at the control box and rotating the lower splined shaft fully clockwise into fwd ,that will lock the prop in a CCW position not reverse

your overthinking it if carb`d then sprat thru the carb till it stalls, TBI,EFI you use a remote tank with a winter mix to fog it

get the GM version , grind off the rivets, install the brackets on the new coil and bolt brackets in place. In time the rust will expand the coil internally and cause it to fail ACDelco GM Original Equipment Ignition Coil Kit 19418995

Sounds correct as long as the coil does require a ballast resistor. Some coils can run 12 volts to them like mercruiser coils and accell

remove the fuel lines at the sep, remove the tbi/rail connection, remove the water line hoses,remove the 2 nuts 26 and remove the CF unit to the bench for service The motor mount to engine is attached with 3/8ths bolts ,2 are what in call shoulder nuts similar to the bolts in the rear flywheel...

everyone is pointing to the exaust when the ports in question are intake ports in the head. support the manifold and fill with water see if it runs out from the intake ports of the manifold

you unhooked the block hoses but did you probe the brass quick connect in the block? Just seeing it dribble out instead of it pouring out ???
