No it blimmin didnt , I almost didnt post it but then I dont usually mess with the camera (phone) settings so it might not all be the cameras fault ....and I think it was redder before I got round to taking the pic .....making coffee

There is just no way to capture the whole thing and the feeling you get standing under/in/thru/over/all of it.

It’s a beautiful day day here. There are about 30 boats out there fishing middle ground and slaying the bass while I’m stuck at work

I took this pic on the way home from Dunedin coz I liked the moon and stars ......turns out that the one above the moon is actually Jupiter and the one top right is Venus and Mars is almost invisible to the left of the moon slightly below and almost at edge of pic

I screwed up guys ....it was Mercury not Mars .
I didnt know they were planets untill Di was looking at her astronomical facebook page thing and some shutterbug had taken what looked like the same image from Kaitangiata (near where your friend is joe ) and we were in Browns and labeled the planets ( must learn how to do that.....circles and arrows too )
