I tow with a Ram which has tow mirrors. It also has a very nice backup camera so no need to put the tailgate down.

I still rely on my mirrors and I key off my spare tire mounted to the side of the trailer. So my very simple advice…move the spare tire mount so you can catch it in the side mirror.

I drove semi’s for a few years, then cube vans, and full sized custom vans for years. So it’s all mirrors for me. As long as I can see the edge of the trailer, preferably the driver side, I’m good.

A new truck with a back up camera will probably wreck my brain.

my back up has ruined me for that last few feet in other vehicles. I get out and i'm like 3 feet from the curb (i back in most everywhere i go unless i can pull thru)
