Tonight the Packers play the Bears for the 112th time. NFL is what it is because of those 2 teams.

I strongly disagree. The Chiefs, aka the Dallas Texans, the AFC and the vision of Lamar Hunt made the NFL what it is today. No disrespect to your two listed teams but without Lamar, the nfl would absolutely not be what it is today, including the superbowl (ball)

The Original Secret Santa: Larry Stewart
  • Origin Story: In 1971, while down on his luck and homeless, a young Larry Stewart received a $20 bill from a kind diner owner; he vowed to pay it forward if he ever became successful.
  • The Mission: Stewart became a successful businessman and, starting in 1979, began anonymously handing out $100 bills to strangers, defining the role of Kansas City's Secret Santa.
  • Reveal & Legacy: Stewart revealed his identity in 2006, shortly before his death from cancer, asking his friends to continue the tradition, which they have.



The Tradition Today

  • Anonymous Givers: A new, anonymous person takes up the mantle each year, often working with local media (like KMBC) to document the giving.
  • "Elves": The current Secret Santa is often joined by local officials, deputies, and community members acting as "elves" to help distribute the money.
  • Spreading Kindness: The goal remains to spread hope and inspire others through random acts of kindness, with $100 bills appearing in laundromats, thrift stores, and at the homes of families in need

If the league was not founded none of all that happens. Lamar is Ray Kroc.
