Read that article. That’s a good program to cut the deer population. Around here they would have no problem getting hunters. The deer program is back.
They pay $100 for a buck and $150 for a doe.
They say the goal is to harvest as manny deer as possible to start trying to control the population.
Couldn’t agree more.could cull the developers, leaving the little pockets of nature to nature.
I've been wondering how your season was going, apparently not good. That gang decimated that area and it's going to take a long time for it to recover. It sounds like they busted that group?Hunted Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday ... HARD. averaged about 5-6 miles of walking and stalking per day. Saw one deer Saturday and 3 a mile away on Tuesday. Hardly saw any tracks in the snow. The almost unlimited tags around here are killing the population on public ground. Heard of a gang that took 86 deer from the area we hunt last year ... they used thermal imaging cameras to find the deer. That doesn't make me happy at all!
Nope, not busted … at least not yet.I've been wondering how your season was going, apparently not good. That gang decimated that area and it's going to take a long time for it to recover. It sounds like they busted that group?
My view for the last week …Raystown? That view is incredible! Helps pass the time.... Old? Or smart? LolView attachment 413558My view for the last week …
Son-in-law got a real nice 10pt about 200 yards behind his house. Last evening went to see the grand daughters and 8 doe walked out into the field. 12 year old didn’t want to shoot… she wanted a buck. All 8 standing broadside at 100yards. I watched them in the scope for 10 or more minutes and then emptied the gun and went inside … decided I wasn’t in the mood to gut and skin any last night. I must be getting old and soft! LOL!
Back in 1972 I was living in Ohio and went down to visit my dad in West Palm Beach. Stayed a couple months.People that use thermal imaging, drones, and semi-automatic weapons or bump stocks aren't hunters . They are simply thugs
Yep, part of the James Creek arm of Raystown.Raystown? That view is incredible! Helps pass the time.... Old? Or smart? Lol

Speaking of drone, and thermals, how about combined? This was posted on an archery site. Anyone that hunts should be alarmed by this. Only a matter of time till the poachers all have it.People that use thermal imaging, drones, and semi-automatic weapons or bump stocks aren't hunters . They are simply thugs
Still time to fill the freezer.Hunted Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday ... HARD. averaged about 5-6 miles of walking and stalking per day. Saw one deer Saturday and 3 a mile away on Tuesday. Same with forward facing Ronald, imo.People that use thermal imaging, drones, and semi-automatic weapons or bump stocks aren't hunters . They are simply thugs
a while back I saw a show on tv about some guys that were using drones to ferry their fish hooks out to the schools of fish. pretty crazy but very productive.People that use thermal imaging, drones, and semi-automatic weapons or bump stocks aren't hunters . They are simply thugs
