I have a cracked block on my 3.0L 1988 bayliner. I have not been able to find same block, but I have found a 2.9 L (i think) block and I was wondering if they will match up. HELP

Never heard of a 2.9L marine engine. Have you checked CL or ebay for a used 3.0? You can also find a 3.0 long block on the net but they ain't cheap. Depends on how much cash you want to sink into that 31 yr old Bayliner.
