Anchor Light

Hi all, quick question regarding anchor lights. I plan on anchoring overnight this weekend for the first time. To my understanding, Canadian rules state that there needs to be a white light visible 360 degrees. I have the stern light on a pole, but with the camper top up I don't think it would be visible all around. What do you guys do in this situation? I have included a picture so you have an idea of what I'm working with.

Unless it can be seen 360 degrees, it seems like it wouldn't do much good...

Yes, exactly. I was wondering what other owners with camper tops do for anchor lights. I want to make sure I am following the rules.

Get a replacement taller pole light. The original was about 3ft, I bought a 5 ft to get it high enough on the Rinker

Same rules in the US. Something like this would work as long as it can be placed vertically.

Since your boat is setup with the camper enclosure, just buy a longer anchor light. You'll probably need it in the future anyway.

its actually international maritime law when it comes to navigation. same rules apply everywhere on the big blue-green marble.

get a taller pole.

I have a thought that the pole would be inside the camper looking at the photo. If it's outside of the top, a longer pole would work.

You are correct. I will have to be creative when I zip it up with a longer pole

Get an led anchor light and mount it to the top of the camper with a couple velcro patches, run the wire inside and plug it in.
