Is it repairable?

I broke a lug bolt on my starter. Can I fix it??? I THINK I found the part on line. 1985-86 45HP Merc 2 cycle.

Well, yeah, if you can get the correct part. The stud looks rusty in the video, are you sure the bearings and internals are ok yet? Sometimes it's much more sensible and less costly to just replace it.

That's what I was thinking. I have a starter from a 1986 Merc 80HP. and I THINK it's the same. If it is I'll swap it out.
