So, went out again this weekend. Was mid 60s and windy, so jackets were needed, but it was still a great day on the water.

The Captain even gets excited about riding up the ramp. Admiral is looking pretty behind him.

Sunday, we went and picked up ANOTHER BOAT. This makes 4. This one will be Maitlin's Christmas present. We plan on refinishing it, and building a frame off the seats to put a twin mattress on for his new room. It will also have shelving, a toy chest, etc. Should end up something like the picture below. Once he's old enough, and ready for his bigger bed, it will become his first boat!

Classic Glastron looking good. Had a ton of fun in my ok v156 with an 85hp Evinrude. Love the paint jobs on the Glastrons

Thanks! I do really love the colors and lines on this hull. It think it's shape has aged really well, minus the super angular wind shield. I've been keeping my eyes open for a decently priced newer one I could retrofit onto it, but that's not a priority at this time. More of a we'll make it happen if a good deal comes along kind of thing.

Well, ran into some issues this weekend. Took her out saturday, and it did not want to run at all under load. I ran it on the hose before I left, and it acted fine, but once I got to the lake, it wouldn't go more than maybe 3-4 mph in gear. Revs up just fine in neutral. From what I've found, best guess points to a carb issue. I haven't touched them at all, so time to dig in and see what I'm dealing with.

Sounds like what I'm dealing with with my 90 right now. Mine issue is almost definitely electrical. I think you've got a cylinder not firing.

Checked spark and compression, and all of them looked good? Plugs and coils are new.

So, Glastron is gone! Had it listed for sale or trade, and ended up swapping it for a truck for the Admiral to drive! Here's my $300 pickup. Now it's time to get our pontoon project wrapped up.

We were bummed to see it go (my son threw a fit!), but it was a good deal for something we had almost no money in, and having the explorer will allow us to extend the life of our other vehicles a little longer. We're trying to avoid having a payment of any kind besides the mortgage for as long as possible.
