whats the right way to change the lower unit oil on a 1984 evinrude 8 hp

Same as most OMC outboards: fill from the bottom until it runs out the top; plug the top then the bottom; use new seals; keep the unit in the running position and don't overfill; leave the phillips screw alone.

leave the phillips screw alone.

Happliy there isn't one on this engine! Just the drain/fill screw and the level screw.

PS it takes 325 ml ( that's 11 fluid ozs in old world units)
