Emblem Meaning

I just bought an old 1966 Larson All American and noticed on the dashboard this emblem. I know it's a Larson but what is GM Boat Co? Any ideas would be appreciated. Maybe it has to do with the motor.

Beautiful dash......

GM Boat company was the name of the dealer and it was based in Bridgeton, MO but...... sadly I can't find a trace of them. Last evidence I found was from 1964

The dealer mane is just like when dealer's put their name on car trunks.
