Have Tracker, tracker cowl, 50 hp 4 stroke tilt and trim. Who was manufacturer of this motor and will controls interchange with Mercury 50 hp 4 stroke tilt and trim? Thanks, Murphy

I'm 99% sure that its a Merc motor. If I remember right, it's a Merc with different stickers on the cowl

below the tracker it says by mercury marine so yes it is a mercury motor and a awsome one at that

Tracker used OMC motors on their boats until the OMC bankruptcy fiasco. They've used strictly Mercury private label motors since then, and starting in the mid 2000's they started usine Mercury label motors. That's a Mercury private label motor, identical to a Mercury label.

even looking up the serial # on the mercury website, it shows several models that have the tracker label.
