End of season prices dropping?

I dunno about you guys, but I'm starting to see lower prices for used boats in the usual places... I think we've reached the part of the year when people trying to get 90% of what they paid for a boat realize they're going to have to pay to store it if they don't get rid of it...

Anyone seeing the same thing?

I havent noticed any drastic drops here yet but we still have a good 2 months of the season left here ( although it would be hard to prove it by our weather ) :D.

We really do too, although we're slowly sliding into the cooler part of the summer I think.

It just seems like in the last week there have been a ton of for-sale signs, posts on craigslist, etc. and the prices are sort of reasonable.

LOL Thats the economy I dont think it has anything to do with the season :D . I have picked up 4 boats this summer due to people needing money for something other than a boat . What I see alot more of now than I have in the past is the High Dollar toys up for sale ( House boats , Large Cruisers , Big pontoons ) That I know has to do with the economy.

I've noticed it on Craigslist. Boat motor prices are becoming a little more reasonable, though there's always going to be the guy asking way too much.

Saw an 1982 115hp Mercury for $1500 and a video demo...thing fired up so easy, the owner was shy of turning the key for fear of overrunning the starter  purred like a kitten and claimed 150 psi on all cylinders. I'd have been all over it if I had the money available for a motor....

I hope you guys are right, cuz I'm looking the next two weekends...
found a 1998 Sea Ray 310 w/new crated engines, he's asking $54K. And a 1998 Rinker 330 Fiesta Vee asking $52K. Based on my measly month of research, these are the best prices above 30' I've found.

Same here... People are saying it is cooling down.. Hell it has not even started to be the worst part. It is only July...

I remember October 31 in the upper 90's lower 100's.

The thing I've noticed is outboard prices are approaching reasonable... beginning of the season people were trying to sell a 10 horse for $500-$700, now they're down to $250-450.

Of course, I still don't have money now, but it's nice to see :)
