boat stalls under hard acceleration. strts right back up. if you ease into the throttle it will run fine! smells like it is running rich too. shud i rebuild carb?

You should see if your accerator pump is working correctly.

With the engine NOT running and the choke held open, have someone open the throttle. You should see a healthy stream of gas squirt into the throat of the carb WHILE the throttle is opened.
