32 years old next month. 1978 Cobalt 19' Bowrider with Ford 351W, and yes an 800 Stringer( I have a great mechanic that knows how to work on them!) Engine and drive have been gone through and its runs like a champ! Had it at Table Rock this last weekend, love this boat!

It's nice to see so many old boats still floating! Mine include a 1992 SeaRay I/O, a 1978 Lund 16', a thirty year old Bombardier Inspiration sailboat, a 35 year old square stern Misty River canoe, a couple of ten year Prijon touring kayaks, and an ancient Coleman canoe. How can you tell that I like water?

26 year old 1984 Wellcraft 180 Elite, Mercruiser 228 Alpha 1. She's still underoing a restoration, but has a 6 day old coat of paint.

51 years old. 1959 Lone Star 15' in the early restoration phase.

I have an 18' Lonestar Eldorado that is a 1960 model. It has a moderate v in front and rounded in the back with high sides. It is a real classic and best of all only wieghs 800lbs.

22 yr old 15 ft maxum ski boat about to under go a resto. Any ideas on what kind of paint to use & the prep work? I just want to repaint what use to be red thats now pink.

Early 1982 Cobalt CS7, made in late 1981, which make it almost 29 years old. I plan on it being my last boat also. Bill

i have either a 69 or 70 Thunderbird seminole outboard that is being restored now. Looking forward to getting back into the water, it is a great boat.

'79 Renken open bow 19 1/2 ft, AQ120B with a 270. Just finished a 7 year restoration, only thing left is to get the carb set right.

Hi guys, I'm new here and this is my first post and I hope I dont screw it up to bad. My name is Jack and this looks like a good place to get started on iboats. My boat is a 1970 Scatcraft. It was stashed away in a heated barn when it was 4 years old and never came out till I bought it at an estate auction last winter. It really is much like a brand new 1970 boat. I am currently repowering it with a mercury 1150. May have it in the water by this weekend if all goes well. I think it may be somewhat rare as I can find very little info on it anywhere. All I really came up with was that it was built by Bill Critchfield who raced way back when and built a few boats in Orlando Florida back in the early 70's. It features woodgrain panels on the sides and has a woodgrain racing stripe all under the mint original gelcoat. If you would know anything about a scatcraft please share you knowledge with me. Anyway I'll quit rambling on now and just say HEY ! and I look forward to shooting the breeze with you all in the future. JBow

Well, my first (recent) boat is a 21 foot 1987 Sylvan "Super Sportster"



My second (recent) boat is a 24 foot 1966 Lone Star "Curise Liner III" (which I hope to pick up Saturday)

Jack, that first post is just too screwed up - you are banned....seriously though, welcome to iboats and congrats on the barn rescue. Mine was a similar deal, just not near as old.

That is one sweet looking old startcraft. We do have a pretty large number of startcraft owners on this site and I am sure they will be along to welcome you to their "club" soon.
