Well I was hoping i wouldnt have to add to my previous post... but ah murphy struck.... 73 Tri-sonic had it out for the first time and ran great for about 15 min... then started to loose power and then it died.... luckly i had a buddy with in his boat and got it jump started.... now if you have never jumped a boat with another boat.... let me tell you dont!!! lol anyway got it going again and ran ok just lost some RPM's..... then died again.... tried to jump it again and no go.... well like i said had a buddy with his boat so he threw a line over and towed me in.... let me tell you what pushing that big hoss onto the trailer right SUCKS!!!!! anyway found out it could be the alternator that went bad so getting it tested and going to try it again soon....
What's almost as important as how old is your boat is how LONG have you owned it----I bought my Regal new in 1988 and i'm on my 2nd wife and still the same boat---WHAT'S that tell ya------????

1988 14.5 foot Sylvan Sport Troller, 20 hp merc, 40lb Minnkota foot controlled bow mount trolling motor. Strictly for fishing. Got her last year & am enjoying my retirement more now than ever.........
The ages of my boats are below in my sig. My Four Winns is a labor of love. Every year I re-furb something on the boat in the effort to make her look brand new again. I like the work and I like the fact she is paid for. I just couldn't see have a monthly payment on something I enjoy 4 months out of the year.
