I like it!! But then again I'm just a war mongering conservitive :) And the fact that it was unannounced must have been a bit of a wakeup call for Amademigad (sp).

Re: A little show for Iran...

I know the carriers are probably nuclear powered but I'm wondering what kind of gas milage the others are getting :( There goes that cutting consumption talk lately. I would love to see some figures of how much fuel the arm forces are consuming daily. Here I'm basically forced to cut all my traveling down to absolute neccessary only and these guys are burning ungoddly amount of fuel just to show off on my (bleep) tax money. It's not like they don't already know what we have. Couldn't they just cut and paste a picture of our nuclear stockpile and send it to that nuckle head in an email? Sorry, I had to vent since I'm forced to stay home this weekend instead of going to a tournament since I can't afford the gas for the truck and boat. By skipping this one, I will loose my number one spot on the club standing.:mad:

Yeah, one good thing about high gas prices....a little less traffic!

Hey !...
Quit whining!.......
The refineries need to make obscene profits.....
Even if they are manipulating the market to do so....
What are ya a Commie?.....:)
I am truly sorry that you can't take your boat out because BIG OIL is robbing your eyeballs out.....
Maybe if we import some cheap labor it will bring the price of gas down......;)
Wait.....
We've all ready done that & it didn't help!........

I think a more definitive "show of force" would be one of Frogger's mushroom clouds - laid right over Tehran. They want to play with nukes - give 'em something to calibrate their gieger counters on.

Yeah..that's what I am talking about. To answer my own question about military fuel consumption, I found this article and the info on it are cited directly from the horse's mouth.

Hey Gonefishin', the cost of having the best trained and most ready combat force of the face of the planet has it's costs.

One cost is the cost of the fuel to keep their birds flying.

Without them we wouldn't have gas prices to worry about, we'd have the Russians.

Pump away, boys!

I'm sure Russia gave them plenty of advanced warning.

It doesn't matter anyhow. They know we're not going to do anything anyway.
Bush and Condi have been drawing lines in the sand that Tehran's been stepping over for 2 years now.

Yeah, right.
Let's all worry about our meaningless positions and the impact gas prices have on it when we have our Warriors over there getting killed.

I'm more concerned for them than I am over the fuel prices.
We, at least, have the option of staying home.

Thanks, but that don't help at all. If I could get a six figures job? I would be doing it a long time ago. That little itty bitty car? I don't think so. What can I tow with that? an inflatable raft? and I'm not buying anything made in France other then maybe wine. I would rather stick to my Toyota made in Indiana, USA. A sailboat????? I am a bass fisherman doggone it.
