Morning all. Been on a big boat for a few days staying drunk about 20 hours a day. Almost lost the boy in Nassau....



I've been on this morning on my tablet and trying to post was near impossible - android some version about 2 years old device if that tells you anything - or tell me how to find the version and i'll get for you. In landscape mode, when my keyboard pops up it covers everything. The header thingie do not roll up out of the way so I can see the text box and thus have no clue what, or if, I am typing anything. On laptop as always a few tweaks on your end and us learning where the buttons and levers were moved to...

I see today's posts is here, that is awesome.

I might have missed it but we could go to the threads we posted on and see if any new posts there. Can't find that?


Last thought is I would recommend a sticky thread review in this section. browser compatibility fomr 2012 and the issue list from last upgrade i'm sure are not relevant.

I like the new forum software. Only thing, so far, that is bothersome is the JAVA tabs across the top(SHOP PHOTOS FIND PROS FORUMS ETC). They are really annoying whenever crossing a mouse pointer from lower part of page to top, or vicey versey, which activates their hover over drop down lists. This happens to me all the time, forcing mousing off the menu to return to the page. Those can be changed to click ons instead of hover overs. I, for one, would love them to be changed away from hover.

Issues
No notifications, only way to see is to come back and look at messages links
Links in message inbox take me to the thread but not to recent post
When going to thread from message link, I can not see entire page, cuts off on right side, not all page numbers.
If going to thread by finding one, page has full display
When selecting another page after coming in from message link, page never displays

If try to attach pic from message link to thread, it goes gray and stops
If try attach pic after finding and going to a thread is says unknown error

Glad to know others are not having the same issues, maybe with enough time I'll figure it out. Going to try some of my other computers to see if its just this one. Will say, all other forums I'm on there are no issues at all, only this site

Edit: must be something with my laptop or the site has security issue. This is the wifes computer and she has all kinds of crud on it, and I try never to use it. Waiting or her so I can install win 7 pro on it

First pic did not load it was to large, the second did (filter)

My laptop has high security settings setup, so it may be this is the issue. If this is the case and iboats site wants a lower setting, then I may have to pass. Right now don't know. As before the wifes computer does work, and need to take some time to try the Win 7 in my shop to see if it works. Will try after Xmass

As typing right now, I see the previous button, page 1 and 2, don't see anything past page 2 button.

The missing right side was happening yesterday and it either cleared up on it's own or they fixed something - Not sure.

As far as iBoats needing higher security - iboats_tim will have to answer that. I don't have the clearance.

What firewall/anti-virus are you running?

Is this a work computer? Usually sites are blocked, which isn't the case or you couldn't get into the forum.

As before, if I go to a thread from my message links, it cuts off the right side, if I go find the thread it does not
Using Symantec but as before, all other forums are working just fine, this is the only site where next to nothing is working correctly

Don't know much about Symantec if that's the problem. The IT guys should be able to answer about higher security needs.

Not to make light of your problems, but have you tried :smash:?

We will get it figured out. Wish I could be more help.

The advanced editor does not work the same where I could hit browse pull up pics from my computer then send to server ..
I'm sure it's my lack of computer skills ...idk ...:facepalm:

For some reason and I haven't got an answer for you why, but using the battery with the fishhook beside the Advanced Editor "A" works almost the same. I do prefer the Advanced Editor Image attaching, but haven't figured it out yet.

Click Upload Attachments below the message box and browse the folder on your PC where you keep your pics. After choosing the pic and it churns a bit, then pick a size, Thumbnail, Small, Medium, Large or Full Size. Full size makes a nice image, Thumbnails - I hate. :smile:

I am having the same problem. But, if I open the message in a new tab it shows the whole page.

Anyone having to login and recreate passwords? The first time was two days ago where I reset and subsequently made posts. Today I had to reset again, but this time also add a first and last name
