I pull my MFG Gypsy 14' with a 2002 Ford Escape 2.0l 4cyl 5speed.

how does it do towing? we were looking at vehicles, and had been looking at an escape. we settled on a 99 bravada with the 4.3 v6, which is what my s-10 has and it struggled a bit going up hill... then again its an 89 with 190k... but we have the same boat.

2002 Avalanche Z/71 pulls a 2008(bought in July 2007) Larson 180 Sport 4.3 190 hp.Even with gas here in Alberta at $1.28-$1.36 (over $5.00 a gallon) still use the boat every chance we can 4-5 times a week a 5 min drive to the town launch and no fees due to living in town but not on the lake( I wish).
Avalanche fill up $145.00
Boat was $120.00

I pull my 16ft boat with either a 2003 GMC Duramax diesel crew cab truck, or a 2004 Chrysler Town and Country minivan. Mostly the truck though.

I pull my 20' Slickcraft with a Silverado 4.3L and haven't any issues. My 22' Cruisers on the other hand with the monstrosity of a trailer, makes for a little work for the 'ol vortec!
I can pull my 12' SeayNymph behind my bicycle.....

I pull my 23' ChrisCraft deckboat (heavy beast 6400 dry) with 04 Nissan Titan. Pulls it fine, even up hills, but drags fuel economy into the 10-12 mpg range, even less in tow mode. Can't even tell 18 ft bass boat is behind it, though.

I pull my lil' 16' Four Winns with my 06' Chevy 2500hd diesel

My truck is heavily modded for extra power, and lower EGT's.
I bought this truck to pull my 10,000lb work trailer 5-6 days a week.

The only time I know my boat is back there is when I look in the rearview mirror.

With our 2007 F-150 SuperCrew..4X4 w/5.4L 300HP
Truck gets 17.6 MPG on the superslab, empty but only 10 MPG towing the boat..its not heavy (1800lbs + trlr 825 lbs)but there's a big DRAG factor back there.

I pull a '72 Mirrocraft w/ 25hp Merc with an '02 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab w/ the 4.7 V8. This of course, is no problem.

I am thinking about upgrading to a 18-20' runabout next spring... anybody have any insight into if I'll have an issue pulling a larger fiberglass boat with this truck?

I pull our 2000 Glastron GX225 with a 2003 Ford Expedition XLT with towing package, Its also used to pull our 2007 Jayco 26L camper. Nice tow vehicle..

I still tow my boat with a 2003 Honda Odyssey mini van. Two seasons now and going strong (see signature).

2002 Nissan Frontier XE 4 cylinder. Pulling a 2000 Sugar Sand Tango jetboat. Truck rated at 3500 lbs tow rating. Trailer fully loaded weighs 1800 lbs.

I have three boats, the largest is a '69 Searay - fairly heavy boat.
I have a '95 Dodge 1500 with a puny V6. This works fine as long I don't have any mountains to contend with.

99 F250 with a 7.3 Diesel, 6 speed manual. Just switched to Michelin load range E AT2 tires (best riding tires I have owned). Pulling an 86 Chris Craft Scorpion 210 LTD.
