    I have an 87 4.3L OMC Cobra and I was wondering if anyone had tried the HEI conversion? It seems really easy, if you can find a V-6 Hei unit.     Service manual info

    I'm trying to find the genuine service manual for my 87 OMC cobra 4.3L The only numbers I have are the serial #TO449247 and model#983842. All the service manuals say "for JX series, or AMD series" How do I tell what series mine is? Is it a TO series???
