    flywheel removal . can you lift and just turn engine

    got a 5.7 89 . i only have a car engine lift. boat has a rear wing. teeth are bad on flywheel. car i just lift engine spin it sideways . put on flywheel and reinstall. can it be done. 89 glastron w/ 5.7 alpha 1 . i think i got the room. but i am asking.. bob

    oil consumtion on a rebuit 5.7

    should thier be loss of oil on a rebuilt 5.7 engine 1989.could it be blowing by as it only has between 5-10 hours on it ???

    oem vrs aftermarket parts

    when you buy after market parts imo. like cap rotor etc. they are what they are aftermarket..manifolds are 1 thing but i got a new cap and dist with thunder iv new aftermarket dist. with after market rotor...piece of crap rotor fell apart after 1 full day out. so my advice on parts that matter...

    timing and adjusting valves changes

    question if you adjust your valves, does it throw of your igintion timing. do you need to reset it..how about you carb mixtures. do they change with valve adjustments as the valves are closing and opening more... i am running good now . just need to know the answer bob

    rebuilt motor valves tapping bad 5.7

    hi i got my 89 5.7 w/ alpha 1 running real good. good oil presure, went to take it out today second ride to break in motor. got it warmed up , the motor was tapping valves for sure. took it back to the dock and adjusted valves . sounded real good. went and got 1 more quart of oil , it sounded...

    power steering pump 89 5.7 auto or boat

    i am finishing up all my little problem's now with my boat it an 89 5.7 w/alpha w/power steering. i looked at some boat sites for a power steering pump..is this one item thats a car pump???i got a leak in that little line in the back its cracked..i even tryed to slide the hose up over it to stop...

    i messed up pulled risers not manifolds

    i messed up saying i pulled manifolds with out draining them but on a gm 5,7 it was the risers. do i still have to worry about water in clylinders??? bob

    how to get water out of clys took manifolds off without draining

    got a different thread open but this is super inportant to me as i had to valves to tight and i rushed to take manifolds off..water will go into clys right??? i cranked engine over with all plugs out and started up for 5 seconds to get it running. please i need advice..this is a horror story for...
