The enamel may not adhere properly, if that's what you mean. It requires additional prep vs the non-galvanized metal the rest of the trailer is made of (except maybe the coupler & jack mount.
still painting,but when I put I back together ,fenders,post ,etc use zinc or galvanized bolts to assemble it with.all the old ones are rusty and need replaced.
