i havent the slightest idea, im just passing on what i heard i didnt state it as fact. BUT i have heard of people applying the auto trans fluid to cedar plank sided homes in my area and i have seen it work... turned out nicely. as for teek i dont know thats why i mentioned i would try it on a scrap piece or maybe the underside of my teek diving platform just in case it doenst work as described.. but i learned a long time ago that i should listen to wiser older folks as they have probaly been down my path.. note there is difference between wise and wise *** folks
Not that I am disagreeing, but why not use teak oil that was, well, make for teak? It's not any more expensive, and doesn't involve the possible negative outcome of applying a product that is "rumored" to work.
