I noticed there seem to be an awful lot of new users with no idea of internet etiquette or how to post so it's even legible. This is most evident in the repair/ maintenance forums.

Would you care to have a look at this link to an internet writing guide?
Is it worth including at the beginning of the repair/maint forums?

http://www.intwg.com/

:D noooooooo....!

Seriously though, it's really beginning to get to me when people post things like this:-

HELPME MY OUTBOARD WOTN START BYTHEWAY IT A MURCERY WHEREDO i PUTTHEP LUGWIRES AT WAT ANGEL

I know that's a bit exaggerated but all that a post resembling that sends out is that whoever typed it shouldn't be allowed anything sharper than plastic scissors.

People from all over the world and with English skill from zero to artistic come here, Nos4r2.

It would be really easier if we all had at least 12th grade English reading and writing skill (or used it), but that isn't the case. Even Grade 3 level sometimes isn't applied.

I haven't found that the quality of writing has anything to do with what help a poster needs or his ability to use the advice when he gets it.

I am afraid that laying out rules beyond what are already there and in the "read this first" posts would drive away some folks that can contribute and help.

Thanks for your interest. :)

Fair enough. I wasn't suggesting using it as a rule, just having the link there as a reference.

Saying that, Rib.net is linked to it and they still get almost unreadable posts
