i just replaced the grip tape on my gunwhales. all of the adhesive came off with some elbow grease, however, there is a yellow patch where the old tape used to be. is there anything that will take that off, or is it a paint touch up job?
hey guys i have one other question that is similar to the first.<br />how can i get REALLY bonded striping tape off. the original stripes aren't in great shape and i want to replace, but taking them off seem impossible. is there a good product on the market that won't harm my gelcoat?<br /><br />thanks again for any answers to these two questions.
I found laquer thinner takes off quite a few things like that. Try some in an area not seen first to check for compatability. When it comes to adhesives from decals, etc, "Goof Off" works well. Again try in an area not seen first.
