I have been running TCW3 oil in my Waverunner. It meets Yamaha recommendations etc. How does it compare with Yamalube? I am only paying 5.70 / gal so the savings are significant. What are the rest of you using? I know some Sea Doos require full syn oil which adds up to enough cost over the lift to just get a Honda in the first place.

I believe the yamalube was designed to be run with Yamaha catalitic converters. Pull the cat out, replace with a D plate, and run any oil you please! I know the Yamalube REALLY gums up the powervalves!

I agree I use a less expensive oil that meets all factory requirements but I believe in adding a little extra to the fuel , some do smoke a bit more but never have any plug problems,
