Yamaha V-Max vs Mercury EFI?

I am looking at purchasing a bass boat with either a 150 Yamaha V-Max carburetor or a 150 Mercury EFI. I heard a lot of bad things about Mercury but I know Mercury has improved over the years. Any true facts as which is the best?
