I have a 703 Yamaha side mount remote on a boat with a 40 HP outboard. The switch became intermittent this spring but the motor mounted switch works just fine. Researching I have found videos of replacing the switch in the remote or simply dismantling it and cleanig it. What I have not found is where a brand new replacement switch plugs into the overall wiring harness. I can see from listing photos of the switch that it has three wires with push in barrel type quick connectors, but I don't see on my wiring harness where they mate to go back to the motor. Can anyone here ennlighten me?
Thanks

Thank you. I see now where the connection is made. It was covered up in my boat but easy to find once I knew where to look.

yeah, those bullet connectors are so you can add another switch somewhere on the boat.
I added one on my poling platform, so I could lower the motor while poling in shallow water to stop the boat from moving when I wanted it to stay put while casting at reds I was seeing

Are we talking about the switch in the handle of the 703 remote control box or the connection point for the addition of an optional trim/tilt switch?

he did mention bullet connectors, and those were the only ones I knew of on the 703
