Yamaha s250turu v76 trim button activates electric fuel pump??

This engine is mechanically sound,compression all good, It runs rough at all speeds and sometimes stall at idle. Timing at idle is sometimes 2-4 btdc and other times 2-4 atdc and others 7btdc. It doesnt jump around while running. It seems to change randomly when shut off and restarted as does the loss of spark on each bank of cyls. I have removed and replaced every sensor,trigger,stator,cdi unit, tps, with no changes. the wire harness seems to be the culprit. Its the only thing left i think?? The trim button on the engine did something strange that I dont think should happen. If push the trim button I hear the electric enrichment pump clicking on /off. Any ideas? Im going to open harness up and test it all but figured I would post this to see if anyone has similar problems or ideas of the cause.

FIXED! cdi unit replaced and all good now

I have removed and replaced every sensor,trigger,stator,cdi unit, tps, with no changes.

I do not understand as you said before that you changed the CDI and it did not help.
And now you say the CDI was what caused you problems
