Sometimes I look at the Yamaha tool boards on the wall and wonder why I still keep them. Especially the Hydra-drive tools. Used them once since the early 90's. But then some of the attachments work well on other drives for installing seals and bearings.

I have a yamaha sterndrive. I have gotten parts from marine parts finders. there # is 561-748-0053. there is a lot on these motors in these forums. Good Luck!

Ya your probly right about that CaptKen! Im sure if i pay them 80 bucks an hour they just might figure it out in time for next season......

I found out the upper housing on my outdrive is destroyed "when the bearings went out it chewed up the aluminum"
You all were right bout CaptKen he is the man for parts and labor! Says hes got a few upper housings just laying around! :cool:

Just an update!

I ended up buying a outdrive off of ebay...
It had a new upper and a rebuilt lower. About $580 delivered.

Very nice boat runs like a champ! Thanks for all the help! And thanks for the offer ken!
