My boat is in the water and the tilt/trim is not working, motor is stuck in the down position. Fuses are ok, manual tilt on motor does not work, just here clicking. I want to get the boat out of the water onto trailer, can I do that with the motor stuck in down position?

drain trim fluid and manualy lift motor, just had the same problem and it was the trim relay in the outboard not sending power.

There is a manual pressure release valve that will allow the motor to be moved up or down but moving it up can be difficult depending on the motor size. The valve is a flat screw fitting hidden inside of the motor bracket usually on the port side of the motor. Watch out for fingers and other body parts if you attempt to open the valve.

If you hear clicking it means that the tilt relay is working but either the tilt motor is dead or the contacts or connections at the tilt relat are bad. Find the relay and give it some light wacks while holding the button to see if the tilt motor runs.

You could find the manual release and lift the motor.
You could find the two relays and switch their position in the wiring harness.
You could apply power directly to the blue wire going into the trim motor.

Or you could try loading the boat onto the trailer as is.

You don't tell us the size of the boat, or motor, and we can't see how much ground clearance you may have once loaded.
Can you lower the motor all the way down without it hitting the ground when it is loaded on the trailer?
