I am a retired automotive engineer with 30+ years in powertrain electronics experience. I am still interested in engines and fascinated in the rapid development of outboard technology, both 2 and 4 stroke, over the past 10-15 years.
I researched everything I could on the new Yamaha "big block" V6 when it came out a few years ago (still amazed that it has no cylinder liners). Now I'm looking for all the details I can find about Yamaha's new F200. Many feature are direct carry over from automotive (twin independent variable cam timing), but I'm looking for the "little" technical detail that don't usually make it into the glossy brochures or web pages. Some of this shows up at sales training, some at service training.
Anyone have anything interesting on the F200 ?
