I'm looking for an Ocean X Transom Shield assembly with the inner plate along with a 1.95 Ocean X Outdrive. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as where there may be used ones for sale?

I do have an Ocean X outdrive however it is the 2.14 ratio and I need the 1.95 for a 5.7 GxOsi. I have a few options as far as getting a 1.95 ratio out of the existing drive I have... Either by changing the upper gear set or by changing out the complete upper unit. Otherwise I also have the option of buying a 1.95 gear ratio Ocean X Drive.

This boat will be freshwater as well, perhaps a switch over to a regular DPS-A drive is advised over the Ocean X however most for sale have converted to an Ocean X. Any and all insight will help!

If there are places that dealer demo engines and transom/outdrive packages are sold or auctioned off at that would be greatly appreciated!

With that difference, you could compensate by going up a prop size from say F4 to F5 if the drive you seek doesn't come along.

Likely what I will do is change the gear set to a 1.95 ratio. I will keep the standard prop size that is coming on the Ocean X outdrive I have coming in.

I see what you are saying, that I can keep the 2.14 ratio drive and not modify it to a 1.95 and upgrade prop size from F4 to an F5?

It will likely run as much as the gear change as they run $1300 online for a new gear set plus install. New Props will be in about the same price range.

Now if I do change the gear ratio to a 1.95 do I need to change the props or can I keep the same ones? I have a spare set of FH5 props.

I would see where the RPMs are at full throttle. A good match would be 5200 RPM with a light load and @ 1/2 a tank of fuel.
