XD100 Full Synthetic Light Amber Color

I was a little worried that I grabbed the wrong can.
I've been using Pennzoil mineral 2-stroke oil, but I figured I'd try full synthetic with my new to me 1994 Johnson. It wasn't much different in color when mixed.
So I mixed one gallon of Full Synthetic and one gallon of the Pennzoil mineral.

Google says this:
Evinrude XPS XD100 is significantly lighter (typically a honey/amber or clear/light gold color) compared to Pennzoil's distinct blue-green 2-stroke oils, meaning the resulting gasoline mix with XD100 will retain a much clearer or lighter yellowish tint rather than the prominent blue-green hue imparted by Pennzoil.

Maybe BRP changed the XD100, but I recall the label stating it wasn't to be mixed in with the gas(which would include VRO/MRO, and Mercs mixing system). It was engineered for use in the DFI engines

That was in 2018, I read that. I remember dealing with a guy that was determined to buy the stuff, for his non DFI engine, eventually I rang the sale, but with a Caveat on the Receipt that the Oil was not for non DFI engines

Everything and every search I've done says it's fine using as premix.

"Evinrude XD100 is a premium synthetic 2-stroke oil designed primarily for Evinrude E-TEC and Evinrude Direct Injection (DI) outboard motors. It can also be used in older Evinrude/Johnson FICHT fuel-injection engines, traditional oil-injected 2-stroke outboards, or as a pre-mix in older 2-stroke motors."

But they say there's no reason to use it as premix unless you want less smoke - that's about the only benefit.

BRP's Official Literature Bans It from Non-DFI Engines
From a parts counter, service department, and legal standpoint, XD100 is strictly designated for Direct Injection (DFI) engines. BRP’s official parts catalog and bottle labels explicitly guide users away from carbureted applications. [1, 2, 3]

• The Rule: If an engine runs gas and oil through a carburetor, BRP dictates that you must use XD30 (conventional) or XD50 (synthetic blend). Both of these carry the official NMMA TC-W3 certification badge required for standard carbureted outboards.
• The Label Text: BRP intentionally formats the back of the XD100 label to say it is formulated specifically for Evinrude E-TEC, Evinrude Direct Injection, and specific oil injection systems. They do not market it as a general-purpose carbureted pre-mix. [, 3]

2. The Lack of TC-W3 Certification
To legally and safely recommend an oil for a standard carbureted two-stroke outboard, it needs to be certified by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) under the TC-W3 standard. [1, 2]
