Wrong Float/Carb Identification

I have an ongoing carb problem, where the specified carb kit (fk10103-2) needles were longer than the ones already in my carbs.

I ordered new floats as specified for my model number 1251x7b, and the ones that showed up look nothing like the floats in my carbs.

The ones in my carbs are black and they have brass bendable tabs (as shown in the mercury manual)

The part number shown on ishopmarine and everywhere else is FO13554 and then is says it's the same as 891730A01.

Even the force drawing looks like my float but the part I got is all white and it doesn't have the brass tabs. Will it still work?

Re: Wrong Float/Carb Identification

First off,you give no info other than you MIGHT have a Force carb. What year make, model of motor. What model# of carb?Any info would help.
Latley there has been 2-3 posts on Force needle valves.Do the old needles have rubber tips?Do the new have rubber tips?If the new don't have rubber then they will probably not work with the old seats. If the needle valves are to long then you might need to re-use the old needle.Try to reassemble the carb with the new part..Pics would help too,Jerry
