Ok, the foundation was already in but 2 days! Pretty amazing. The entire hotel was FININSHED in a total of 6 days.

Is very sturdy due to the box design.

Assembled from prefab components is not the same as built. Still, pretty impressive.

I know its nitpicking about semantics but it was erected in 6 days. I liked the system of modularizing each of the floor sections with what looked like all the materials for that section. Impressive none the less.

I'd be interested in knowing how quickly they can churn out the modules. Plus when you look at cookie cutter styling if they have a bunch of moduals sitting you could in theory order an office building and have it in the next month. Modular housing for the corporate world.

Yeah to say it was built in only 6 days is a stretch but I think the Chinese are onto something when it comes to efficient building of high rise buildings, the modular concept certainly helps, I bet they had a couple of building code inspectors on site around the clock.

We took a Riverwalk boat tour in San Antonio the week before Christmas.
The Riverwalk Hilton was built the same way in 1968 for The Texas World's Exposition.
"The 500-room deluxe hotel was designed, completed and occupied in an unprecedented period of 202 working days."
