Would you do it again?

Extreme Newbie here, looking at buying our first boat. So far I've only looked at the Tahoe brand since that is what they had at our local Bass Pro shop (we're planning on going to some local boat shows over the winter to look at other brands, models, and styles). I liked the look of the Tahoes in the showroom, but from some of the comments I've read over on the main forum I'm not sure if this is a brand I should into further. If you all could do it again, would you still purchase your Tahoe or would you get another brand?

Thanks for any and all advice!
Pete

Hello threepete,
You question has been asked and answered many times in this forum. The majority of Tahoe owners in this forum are happy with their purchase. If I were you I would spend some time looking throught this forum and you will get the overall feeling of what you get with a Tahoe purchase. Personnaly, I would definitely buy again. Good luck!

Re: Would you do it again?

threepete,

had my tahoe q4 for a few months now.. it has had some minor issues, but they have been easy fixed... its also the 3.0L to boot..

If I had listened to all the naysayers on here, I would not have bought the boat.. you will also find that the naysayers are not actually owners but "know of someone who..."

It performs great, (with smart tabs in its future) and my family of 4 love it..

Would I buy another... yes!

Just a few months into my new Q4 as well...same deal, a few minor problems, but totally worth the price and we love our boat. I'd do it again.

I`ve got the 06 Q6 fish and ski and love it. I`m sure you could find a lot nicer boat with a larger price tag, but the 5.0 merc and custom trailer have added much to the overall package of my boat. I wanted something my son and I could fish with, and momma wanted a ski boat. This boat has satisfied both situations and I am very happy with my choice.:D

Yes I would for sure get another Tahoe. We are thinking that in a couple of years when the baby is older we will move up to the Q8 Tahoe. We are not even considering other boat brands. We love our Tahoe.

I'm an outsider but know Tahoe owners and see a lot of them on the water. I think they are hands down the nicest of the budget boat brands. They seem to include the most ammenities for the money. Asking about Tahoes has gotten some heated responses in past threads. For some reason they are either loved like the responses here or looked at with disdain. They are not my cup of tea but wouldn't shun one if it had an upgraded MPI engine for a good deal.

I'd buy mine again but make sure there's a reputable dealer not bass pro shop to do your warranty/servicing work.

I'm sure if you would check any other boat company forum you would have simular or worse problems at a higher price. The challenge is on!!

Re: Would you do it again?

From my experience I would do it again... My Tahoe has been a great boat for the money I spent...

sort of like the car question... Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, Lexus... Chevy, Buick, Cadillac... each car has their place, and price point.

Would I like to have a Cobalt boat - definitely - but not for $50,000. And I don't feel terrible when the kids drop a can of worms and get dirt all over my Tahoe... and at the end of the day it does everything that the Cobalt does. It floats and it runs!

Re: Would you do it again?

I've had my 2008 Q6 for 4 summers now and the past 3 everything has been perfect with no real issues and I have no regrets.

The first 30 hours I had some warranty issues and the dealer took care of all of them no problem. One of the issues was a short and they rewired the entire thing.

The boat looks and drives like a dream and everywhere I go I always have several people comment on how nice the boat is.
