would a bad coil kill a power pak?

finally got my 1995 70hp evinrude up and running
new power pack
and new coil #2 clyinder


do you think have a bad coil for sometime would kill the power pack?

just wondering what you guys think

A bad coil or a coil with the wrong primary resistance could kill a power pack. Ignition systems don't like to run on open circuits.
