Thanks for the ongoing effort here.<br /><br />Talked to my mech tonight and will probably take him for a spin this weekend, field tach in hand.<br /><br />He has some props and I can do some swapping with his stuff to determine what I like... but not until I know what my rpm.s really are.<br /><br />FWIW... if a speedo in a car is off, it will be a ratio thing, and can be described as a percentage. It's a real small number at slow speed but that number gets higher as your speed increases.<br /><br />If this tach error is the same, my "apparently" normal idle of 1100 in neutral, 8-900 in gear might have so little error it doesn't seem out of norm. But by the time I'm up over 3k, a percentage over 10-15% starts to be significant. In fact, if I'm running 55K+ when it's only reading 4600, that's in the neighborhood of 20%.<br />I really do need to know what's what.<br /><br />again, thx for all the input and I'll keep ya'll posted.
