Picking a prop for 73 65hp Evinrude do not have a service manual could someone tell me if what wot rpm should I be looking for? Thanks in advance have 3 props on hand to try.
Typically these motors like 5500-6000rpms, but I am not certain on your exact year. Great that you have three props to experiment with!!. I think I would prop mine to run at 6000 with a very light load.
We as a group of family and friends have 6 of these 1970's 3cyl Evinrudes the 65 we are setting up is going over a pontoonygo boat and is the oldest the newest is an 82 70hp that my buddy's wife picked up at a yard sale for $85 power trim and all so we have a few props around I myself have 1978 75hp these old girls can be a little contrary at times and like their fuel but they can be worked on with basics skills and help from Iboats forum. Thank you very much.
